Google continues to work its way into every aspect of our lives, although it’s already conquered our hearts and minds, according to Amplicate. The search giant was the most loved online media firm of 2011 on social media. 81% of opinions on the Silicon Valley-based firm were positive over the last 12 months, making it more popular than Amazon, eBay and Yahoo. The main reason for the outpouring of love? Google gives so much away for free.
Amazon was the next most loved online conglomerate on social media in 2011. 74% of opinions on the online retail company were positive over the year. Time Warner, on the other hand, was the most hated online media giant: 86% of opinions on the media colossus were negative, thanks to consumers’ problems with their internet services and rising prices.
The next most hated firm was Microsoft: 61% of opinions on the computing giant were negative in the last 12 months. It would take too long to catalogue all the reasons social media users have for hating Microsoft and its founders. So we won’t try.
